Steam locomotive BR 44 DB, epoch III
Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) class 44 heavy freight steam locomotive, with a 2´2´T34 standard coal tender. Black / red basic coloring. With standard Witte smoke deflectors, forward wheelset with spoke wheels, without central smoke chamber lock, with one-sided Indusi magnet. Locomotive road number 44 1374. Operating condition around 1962/63.
With mfx + digital decoder and extensive sound functions. Regulated high-performance drive with a flywheel in the boiler. 5 axles powered. Traction tires. Locomotive and coal tender largely made of metal. Set up for smoke generator 7226. Triple headlights that change with the direction of travel and that can be retrofitted with a conventional smoke generator, can be controlled digitally. Cab lighting, firebox flickering and flickering on the ashtray can also be separately controlled digitally. Maintenance-free warm white and red light-emitting diodes (LED) are used for the lighting. Close coupling with kinematics between locomotive and tender. At the rear of the tender and at the front of the locomotive, a kinematics-guided close coupling with an NEM shaft. Passable minimum radius 360 mm. Piston rod protection tubes, brake hoses and screw coupling imitations are included.
