Form variant of the BR 83.10 in a three-dome version of the DR in Era IV. The model has a dual headlight and a long locomotive sign on the smoke box door.

In accordance with the special nature of the prototype, the finest detailed PIKO model can also present itself as an outstanding locomotive. The striking locomotive comes up with a large number of extra parts, including many fine lines, smoke deflectors, bell, whistle, lids on the water tanks, alternator, steps to the buffer beam, ladders, handrails, heating lines and sand pipes. The fine spoked wheels, the filigree controls and the lovingly detailed driver's cab interior also make the locomotive an eye-catcher on the layout.

The PIKO BR 83.10 is also technically state-of-the-art and has driver's cab lighting, running gear lighting, LED headlights and the option of equipping the locomotive with a smoke generator. The powerful motor, in combination with 2 built-in traction tires, ensures sufficient traction for all prototypical train compositions.

The sound locomotives already have a factory-fitted smoke generator. Brake hoses, tow hooks and long protective tubes are included with the model.
