D 912 "Emsland" with the route Frankfurt/Main Hbf to Norddeich, timetable 1979
The D 912 "Emsland" is the successor to the City D-Zug DC 912 that was discontinued in 1978. At the same time, the route from Emden to Norddeich was extended. The Emsland express train consisted of four 2nd class carriages (Büm232 and Büm234) and a first-class Am202 type carriage.
At the end of the 1970s, they were a colorful mix of colors and wore everything from green to ocean blue/beige to pop colors that the color palette of the Deutsche Bundesbahn offered.
