LS-Models 97001N Gauge N 2-piece set of sleeping cars of the ÖBB, Era V

The set consists of one carriage each of the WLABmz 76-94.3 and WLBmz 76-94.2 types.

In 1995, the ÖBB purchased new double-decker sleeping cars of the WLABmz 76-94 and WLBmz 76-94 types. In 2009, the cars underwent an extensive upgrade program. The interior was modernized and the bogies were replaced with new SGP-400 models to improve smoothness. In addition, the dark blue paintwork disappeared and the cars were given a gray/red paintwork. The cars were used on the EN 490/491 Vienna - Hamburg route, among others. In the early days of the Nightjets, they were also used temporarily on the NJ 420/421 Düsseldorf – Innsbruck.
