Bad Bentheim train station
This station from Bad Bentheim in Lower Saxony is owned by »Bentheimer Eisenbahn AG« (www.bentheimer-eisenbahn.de). In the renovation phase, the original building at first attracted a bit of nationwide attention because a door was blocked due to supposed wrong planning. The building was only accessible through a detour via the entrance to the station forecourt. For the direct route to the platform, the travelers would have had to climb through a window. In the meantime, the station, which was considered extremely successful after the successful renovation, has been awarded the "Station of the Year 2019" rating by the non-profit transport association "Allianz pro Schiene" (www.allianz-pro-schiene.de) for its customer friendliness. Due to its proximity to the border, interesting long-distance traction changes to the Netherlands take place at Bad Bentheim station. The building model provides the perfect backdrop for displaying these interesting driving maneuvers on the model railroad system at home.
In this kit, the historical main part of Bad Bentheim station is reproduced in its current state. The contrast on the platform side with the mixed construction of masonry and truss is particularly attractive. The interior of the entrance area is also perfectly designed. The building model stands on a base plate with a natural stone base. With cut-out sheet from the original station signs.
