Description & specifications

Stake car Rr of the DRG
Company number: Stuttgart 80 783

After 1945, the Rr20 were scattered across several European countries. In 1952, the DB had almost 800 cars. The most striking change was the use of pressed sheet metal stanchions. The wooden stanchions were replaced in the early 1950s. In many wagons, however, the stanchions were omitted entirely. Marked as R(o) in this way, they were now primarily used for vehicle transport. As with the Gl cars, at the end of the 1950s the decision was made as to what to do with the interchangeable stake cars. It was also decided to dismantle and rebuild in accordance with UIC guidelines. From 1959, new Rlmms 58 were created, and the stock of R(rh) fell rapidly. On December 31, 1958 there were still around 620 in stock, in 1964 there were still 106. At the end of 1966 there were still 26 cars that were now listed under the designation Kklm 433. They were finally phased out by 1968.
