In the years 1889 to 1891, the Royal Bavarian State Railways received a series of 190 low side cars according to sheet 390 of the car directory. All cars had a handbrake with a brakeman's cab and a symmetrical undercarriage. The carrying capacity was 10.5 t, as work trucks they were classified in the X category. The railway administration used them mainly for the transport of rails, ballast and other superstructure materials.
