INFORMATION ABOUT THE MODEL
In addition to German designs, the DR also had large numbers of third-party freight cars after 1945. Initially, every available freight wagon was used to carry out the transport tasks, but soon the aim was to standardize the fleet of wagons to a certain extent. For this reason, splinter types were preferred for the conversion into railway service cars, which could often extend their service life by many years. Covered goods wagons were used in construction trains to store material and provisions, as a mobile workshop and, after further modification, as cultural, washing, residential, sleeping and kitchen wagons.
