In 2019, BLS Cargo decided to add 25 machines to its existing Vectron fleet of around 15 locomotives. In addition to the country packages Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands, the new locomotives now also include Belgium. Visually, the locomotives differ mainly in the new design on the side. The design moves a little closer to their slogan "The Alpinists" and shows mountaineers at dizzy heights in the impressive Swiss mountains. We dedicate the selected company number Re 475 425 to the Re 425 fleet, which was replaced by the new Vectron locomotives and thus a real Swiss woman is being retired.
