■ For the first time with a company number for push-pull train
Almost 200 of the class E 44 electric locomotives were put into service from 1932 to 1954. The output of the 4-axle bogie locomotives was around 2,200 kW, with a top speed of 90 km / h. The locomotives proved themselves both in front of passenger trains and freight trains and quickly became the "girl for everything". Some locomotives were equipped with push-pull control and thus used in suburban traffic in metropolitan areas.
