HR2981 "Treni Turistici Italiani" is an exclusive special edition for 2025, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the company's founding. The company was founded in 1945 and quickly became a reference point in railway modeling – not only in Italy, but beyond. The product is delivered in an anniversary box with the 80th anniversary logo prominently displayed. This is inspired by one of Rivarossi's most recognizable and long-lasting logos, the "double R," introduced in 1970 and used for over 30 years until 2004. Inside is also a special booklet tracing the company's history and featuring the very first logo: a shield bearing the company name and the famous "Galletto."

For our anniversary model, we chose to reproduce one of the engines used by Treni Turistici Italiani to power their own trains. It embodies the spirit pursued by Rivarossi since its founding.

The TTI aims to give passengers a taste of the old trains, reimagined not only with customized services but also visually by applying the historic and legendary "Treno Azzurro" logo to modern E402B locomotives and their carriages.

Rivarossi has also always strived to recreate a kind of "tourist journey" through the history of railways (primarily Italian, but generally worldwide) by reproducing iconic models that utilize all available modern technologies.
