HR2981 “Treni Turistici Italiani” is an exclusive special edition for 2025, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the company's founding. Founded in 1945, the company quickly became a benchmark in model railroading – not only in Italy, but internationally. The product comes in an anniversary box, prominently displaying the 80th anniversary logo. This logo is based on one of Rivarossi's most recognizable and enduring logos, the “double R”, which was introduced in 1970 and used for over 30 years until 2004. Inside, you'll also find a special booklet tracing the company's history and showcasing its very first logo: a sign bearing the company name and the famous "Galletto." As an anniversary model, we chose to reproduce one of the locomotives used by Treni Turistici Italiani to power its own trains. It embodies the spirit that Rivarossi has pursued since its inception. The TTI aims to give passengers a taste of the old trains, reimagined not only with bespoke services but also visually through the application of the historic and legendary "Treno Azzurro" livery to modern E402B locomotives and their carriages. Similarly, Rivarossi has always strived to recreate a kind of "tourist journey" through the history of railways (primarily Italian, but generally worldwide) by reproducing iconic models, crafted using all available modern technologies.
