Triple headlights and two red taillights change over with the direction of travel, in conventional operation, and can be controlled digitally. High-beam headlights can be controlled separately. Cab lighting can be controlled digitally. The headlights on ends 2 and 1 can each be turned off separately digitally. If the headlights are off on both ends of the locomotive, the double-A headlights operate on both ends. Lighting is provided by maintenance-free warm white and red light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The locomotive has a buffer memory to bridge short power-off periods. A guide-guided coupler.
