The model is characterized by enormous pulling power, as well as by an extremely filigree construction of the complex roof structure. The rear light can be activated or deactivated in analog mode using a switch on the circuit board
In digital mode, the taillights and a fade-in function can be switched.
The series 1216 is a further development of the ÖBB series 1016/1116 "Taurus". The 1216 is a classic multi-system locomotive that was delivered in the following configurations:

1216 226-240 Variant C: Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia
