Electric locomotive CC 6541 Maurienne in green livery
Delivered in 1971-1972, the CC 6500 "Maurienne" (CC 6539 to 6559) intended for less noble services on the Culoz-Chambéry-Modane route were given a green livery and fitted with tugs for third rail operations.
From 1977 their 3rd rail equipment will be phased out and they will be used indiscriminately with the other "red" CC 6500 on the south-eastern network.
Some "Maurienne" locomotives were repainted in the "Grand Confort" color in the mid-1980s. Depot Vénissieux's CC 6549, 6558 and 6559 are among the last machines to be retired in July 2007.
