Electric multiple unit, Pullman IIm, RhB ABe 4/4 III No. 56, red, epoch five, prototype condition around 1990, LokSound, Panto
After a long period of preparation, today we are able to present our new G-gauge model of the RhB Abe 4/4 III for the first time:
Available in 6 versions and different printing variants, the level of detail compared to the previous project has been further increased. Of course, all variants will be equipped with an ESU LokSound 5 XL decoder. The pantographs can be raised and lowered electrically. The model, which is produced entirely in Europe, will be delivered in the second half of 2020.
The weatherproof Pullman model has all the prototypical details and is made as a handmade model in a mixed plastic and metal construction. The front handle bars and hose couplings consist of individually attached parts and are assembled at the factory. The railcars are manufactured slightly shortened compared to the prototype to enable operation on all standard track radii (from 600 mm). The structure is given a hard-wearing finish for an even more prototypical finish. Paintwork and addresses correspond to the respective construction conditions. The multi-part, multi-colored lacquered driver's cabs and passenger compartments are atmospherically illuminated by warm white LEDs. Of course, you can also switch all prototypical peak signals in digital mode. The pantographs made of metal are raised and lowered smoothly with high quality ESU servos, acoustically accompanied by the original sound. The height to which the pantographs should extend can be set digitally.
A powerful seven-pole Bühler motor works in each of the two bogies, which transfers its power to both axles of the bogies with low wear via ball-bearing shafts. The axles carry stainless steel wheels and are also guided in ball bearings. A three-point bearing on the bogies ensures that all wheels are in permanent contact with the rail, thus ensuring safe power consumption at all times. Nevertheless, the ESU LokSound XL V4.0 digital decoder is equipped ex works with a "PowerPack" energy store, which guarantees a reliable power supply even on the dirtiest tracks in the garden. The digital equipment with several new acoustic functions in the garden railroad area lets you experience your system from scratch. The powerful original sound is emitted to the outside world by a large 50mm loudspeaker with sound capsule.
Novel sensors allow the typical squeak to sound in curves, depending on the speed. The railcar has LGB-compatible couplings at the ends.
