Prototype: Electric high-speed multiple unit EC 250 as RABe 501 Giruno of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB).
1 end car A (Bt1), 2nd class. 1 intermediate car F (B7), 2nd class, with accessible entrances and pantograph. 1 intermediate car G (WR6), with a restaurant area. 1 intermediate car H (A5), 1st class, with accessible entrances and pantograph. 1 end car L (At2), 1st class.
Multi-system multiple unit. Replica of the EC 151, with cross-border train routes: Frankfurt/Main - Fribourg - Basel - Zurich - Milano Centrale. Train number RABe 501 022, with the coat of arms of the canton of Vaud. The locomotive looks as it did around 2024. Model: 5-car basic set. Restaurant car G and the two intermediate cars F and H arranged on the left and right are permanently coupled together via the Jakobs bogies. The locomotive has an mfx digital decoder and extensive sound and light functions. The locomotive has a controlled high-efficiency propulsion system with a flywheel centrally installed in the restaurant car. All four axles in both Jakobs bogies to the left and right of the restaurant car are powered via cardan shafts. Traction tires. The engineer's cabs in the end cars have interior fittings. The power supply is directional and comes from the front end car. The locomotive has a guide rail in the Jakobs bogies. The triple headlights and two red taillights change over with the direction of travel; they work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. They can be switched to a white taillight (Swiss headlight pattern). Additional lighting functions can be controlled separately. The interior lighting is installed as standard. The interior lighting is powered via the continuous electrical connection of the entire train. Additionally, the driver's cab and control panel lighting can each be controlled separately digitally. All lighting is provided with maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs. The pantographs on the F and H intermediate cars can each be raised and lowered separately using a digital function. Scale replica. Minimum operable radius: 360 mm. Length of the basic set: approximately 112 cm. The 5-car basic set, item no. 39812, can be expanded to a prototypical 11-car train with the 2-car add-on car sets, item no. 43451, 43452, and 43453.
