LokPilot V4.0, multi-protocol MM/DCC/SX, 21MTC interface
The LokPilot V4.0 is suitable for DCC, Motorola and Selectrix. It can be used in DC and AC operation and recognizes the operating modes fully automatically "on-the-fly". Up to 9999 addresses in DCC operation or 255 in Motorola operation.
The LokPilot V4.0 recognizes all common braking sections such as Zimo HLU, Märklin or Selectrix diode braking sections. The ABC brake mode introduced by Lenz for easy signal stopping thanks to the asymmetrical DCC signal is new. Of course, the LokPilot V4.0 also fully supports the RailCom standard and can be programmed with all common digital command stations.
Also new is the connection option for an external "PowerPack". This (from 2011) optionally available energy storage device can supply the motor for up to 2 seconds in the event of a power failure and finally lets you forget about dirty rails!
With a base frequency of 40 kHz, the control frequency is adaptively adjusted to the speed. Improved low-speed behavior, especially with older 3-pole motors or coreless motors. The control can be quickly adapted to the model.
The decoder is 9% smaller than its predecessor and even easier to install.
With the LokPilot V4.0 you can not only set the starting and maximum speed of your locomotive and determine which of the functions should be active in analogue mode: Even the load control is active! This makes the LokPilot V4.0 ideal for analog locomotives that have been too fast with a changeover switch! Your locomotives are finally crawling as slowly in analog operation as they are used to from digital layouts.
The LokPilot V4.0 decoder has four function outputs that can be loaded with 250mA each, the brightness of which can be regulated individually and different light effects such as flashing light, firebox simulation, flash and double bitz, ditch light etc. can be assigned. The version with the 21MTC interface also has two logic outputs that you can bring to life using the 51968 adapter board. Of course, the decoder masters the automatic pressing on and off when uncoupling for Roco®, Krois® and Telex® couplings and now also offers a high beam function. The "LED mode" ensures correct lighting effects when using LEDs.
The LokPilot V4.0 supports all DCC programming modes including POM (programming on the main). All settings are also made electronically for Märklin®s stations 6020®, 6021®, mobile station® and central station®. The LokPilot V4.0 decoder has a proven, easy-to-use setting procedure for these command stations. Changes made in Motorola® mode are also effective in DCC and Selectrix® mode and vice versa.
Setting the parameters is convenient for owners of our ECoS center: All options are displayed in plain text on the large screen and can be changed very easily - even during operation.
The LokPilot V4.0 supports the wrong-way bit, which is essential for operation on Märklin® layouts, so that locomotives that enter a digital section from an analogue section do not immediately reverse out again. After a service interruption, the decoder starts up again as quickly as possible thanks to storage.
