The V 180 was a standard locomotive of the Deutsche Reichsbahn, which was available in large numbers. The diesel-hydraulically driven lots were taken out of service at DB AG around the turn of the millennium.
A few locomotives are still in use at private railway companies.
The locomotive has a KK kinematics and is prepared for the installation of a vehicle sound.
