• The Henschel cab-over truck for forestry operations, 1955-61
The large cab-over trucks of the post-war decades also had to prove themselves on a daily basis in forestry operations. There, the power had to be brought to the road under the weight of the heavy log load in impassable terrain. And the Henschel HS 140 lived up to its good reputation when it pulled the logs from the forest to the sawmill. The HS 140 is a typical cab-over truck of its time - it shaped the fifties before cubic front-wheel drive trucks became popular at the Kassel truck manufacturer in the following decade. A fine tractor body with the prototypical engravings of the Henschel star and body ridges adorns the 1:87 model. The driver's cab has the typical bulbous doors. Extensive engravings of the rear window and roof vents characterize the driver's cab. The radiator grille features the typical Henschel star, which is even used as a separate part. There is also the Henschel lettering on the side and the raised hood buckles.
