NEW FORM! The volume tandem trailer has been updated after more than 20 years in the Herpa range for fixed and swap bodies. A small storage box between the two axles is now prototypical, which also means a new underride guard; the fenders are now also a separate part. A well-known company, Gebrüder Weiss, is the inspiration for the first model with fixed bodies. Based in Lauterbach, it is the oldest transport and logistics company in Austria (if not in Europe or the world) and is still family-owned to this day (the Weiss and Jerie families). For more than 500 years, the company has continuously developed and matured into a global player in the transport and logistics market. As early as 1474, "the Mailänder Bote" was a regular transport service between Lindau on Lake Constance (then an important transit port for north/south trade) via Fussach (Austria) and Chur (Switzerland) to Lake Como and on to Milan (Italy). Today it has around 8,000 employees, 180 company-owned locations and, with annual sales of around 2.5 billion euros (2021 provisional), is one of the leading transport and logistics companies in Europe.
