The W50 was designed in over 70 basic variants with different bodies. The W50L MK furniture box vehicle was used for long-distance travel and for transporting furniture and bulky or large-volume goods. Vehicles with extended cabins were used on tours where additional accompanying personnel was required, such as when transporting furniture. A typical truck for transporting furniture included the W50L MK and the matching furniture trailer from the HL70/80 series.

The model completes a series of vehicles from Kraftverkehr Halle that are being produced this year.
