FA HW 80.11, half side wall
The agricultural trailer has been produced since 1969 in the VEB motor vehicle factory "Ernst Grube" in Werdau. The abbreviation HW80.11 stands for the two-way tipper body, identical to the HL 80 trailer with road tires. The HW80 was the standard trailer for transporting grain, stable manure or building materials. The upper side walls could be dismantled within a very short time and the trailer could be adapted to the intended purpose. From 1984, production was moved from Werdau to Oranienburg as part of the centrally controlled reorganization of the Grube factory.
Trailers of this type are still widely used today and there are several manufacturers who offer agricultural bodies for the HW80 chassis and recondition existing trailers.
