VW pretzel beetle, matt green
"In the color dress of the post-war period"
1946 was not the time of light colors; instead, dark paintwork dominated the deliveries of the first post-war generation of the VW Beetle. The narrow pretzel window above the rear bonnet gave the first Beetle its telling name. The view to the rear was clearly restricted for the occupants, but the “pretzel beetle” started an unimagined success story that ultimately means the mobilization of Germany with the other Beetle series.
Body and chassis with bumper in dark matt green, interior fittings with steering wheel in orange-brown. Salmon red hump rim with dark green hubcap, trim strips on the bumper also salmon red.
