This VW T1 "Type 2" is a real East Frisian and at the same time it miniaturizes an advertising classic from the economic boom. After the Second World War, the consumption wave of Doornkaat AG brought an enormous upswing. In the high phase at the end of the 1960s, the Klare from the north with the legendary Doornkaat man, who holds the brand-typical green square bottle in his hand, even became famous through TV spots. With the slogan “Doornkaat - loved hot and drunk cold”, Doornkaat AG hit the bull's eye in the north of East Frisia. With the VW T1 "Type 2" and "Doornkaat", two classics among the model making traditionalists come together - an obvious triangular relationship.
