Built in 1976-78
• The Swedes had their luxury class with the 264 GLE
This Swede really earned its youngtimer status. When the latest generation of Volvo sedans were introduced in 1975, they were also given updated model numbers. The 164, which had been quite successful up to that point, became the 264, which from then on set standards in terms of passive safety. This is how Volvo managed to get the Swedish car manufacturers to create their own luxury class family - the 264 GLE was full of decorations and a chrome-plated radiator grille. The model also had a powerful V6 engine. The rectangular headlights, significantly larger taillights and a luxurious interior enhanced the 264 GLE. WIKING has given the classic car a sophisticated printing service, so that the expressive design elements are visible even in the 87-fold miniaturization.
Bodywork finished in white-blue with a clear varnish finish, chassis in silver. Interior with steering wheel in brilliant blue. Silver-plated radiator grille and headlights. Silver window surrounds and trim strips on the sides. Rear taillights printed in red, with the type lettering "Volvo 264 GLE" above.
