• Mazda's surprise with the successful roadster of the nineties
It is handy and has a pleasant body line that seems timeless. And in fact, with the much-noticed presentation, it was Mazda's surprise on European roads at the same time. The bold palette of strong full-tone colors with the intensity of melon yellow speaks the clear language of not wanting to hide. At the beginning of the 1990s, the roadster caused a real hype in Europe. The Mazda MX5 made roadster fun affordable - the renaissance began. More and more manufacturers followed with compact, affordable convertibles. In view of the great demand in Germany, WIKING added the first market version of the MX5 to its range. The first generation still had "sleeping eyes", so-called pop-up headlights, which were part of the standard equipment of the sporty leisure Japanese from 1989 to 1998.
