Dodge Charger, with a white roof
The sporty charger initially belonged to the class of “muscle cars” - the more motorized sports cars, also known as “super cars”, were intended to appeal to a young target group between 1960 and 1974. The Dodge Coupé with hatchback, first presented in 1964, was followed in 1965 by the Charger 273 model in a small series of 180 units. In 1968 the new, even sleeker Charger (Generation II) appeared on the market, which was built in this form until 1970 and is the basis of this miniature. At the time, 96,100 vehicles from the prototype were sold.
