Polystyrene is a widespread, thermoplastic (thermally deformable) plastic that is very suitable for model construction because it is easy to work with and process. It can be scored very easily with a cutter and simply "broken" at the same point. The individual components can be "cold welded" with the aid of dispersion adhesives.
