The unit was reorganized in 1946 as the 190th Fighter Squadron at Gowen Field Air Base in the US state of Idaho and was able to celebrate its 7th anniversary in 2021. The unit commemorated the event with a historic livery worn by a unit P-47 75 years earlier.
